Tension Span has designed and engineered this spectacular structure in Miami, Florida. Located on the beach with elevated views of the Atlantic Ocean, this structure is a focal point of attraction for this luxury resort.
It is made up of eight identical twisted Hypar shaped tension membranes, designed to withstand 230 kph hurricane force winds. An attractive style with a difference, made to enhance the bar area of the hotel pool. This structure is durable and long lasting, being manufactured to Tension Span's high standard, and carries a ten year warranty.
The PVC membrane fabric reflects heat and blocks UV radiation. All of the frames are Triplex coated to protect the steel from harsh weather conditions

Mirage Port Douglas Resort - Port Douglas Australia

Tension Span Structures Pty Ltd was engaged by Mirage Resorts Holdings Pty Ltd to design, manufacture and install a tension membrane Pavilion at its Port Douglas Resort. The Pavilion is designed to house Conventions, Trade Shows and various resort functions. Just one hour's drive north of Cairns, on the famed 4 mile beach, Mirage Port Douglas is the premier 5 star resort in North Queensland and has hosted the rich and famous from around the world.
The striking arched tension membrane structure is 20m span x 40m long x 7.5m high with a surface area of some 1,420sq.m. The design incorporates 12 vertical perimeter arches 10m wide and 3m high which are fitted with white and clear sidewalls. To provide flexible access for various functions, the sidewalls can be rolled-up or removed completely. The translucent roof membrane of Seaman BW Tedlar PVF on PVC coated Polyester bathes the interior in a soft natural light.
